...that's kinda dumb.
But there aren't any dwarwes! It was a GNOME who got killed, not a dwafr!
All the dramatic readings I've seen of Repercussions of Evil way overemphasize that last line - "and then John... was a ZOMBIE!" - making it into a dramatic culmination. I feel like the simple, wordless @ -> Z here is much more in keeping with the deadpan anticlimax of the original.
