I like the format, and you fixed all of the bugs (and added all of the features) that I noted before.

However, I agree with people at the other comic that this would work better if one didn't have to log in to comment.

By the way, my user profile lists my first comment as a comment that I made to a test strip that no longer exists (although not the first such comment).

So how else would you identify people reliably enough that you can do voting, recasting of votes, comment counting and submitted strips?

Your comment still exists, the strip is just not visible, but yes, that's a bug.

^ Yes, the old DD system doesn't work well as the results are being manipulated by who knows how many different ways.

I'm just glad we can edit comments on this comic. There's no way to do that without some kind of authentication mechanism... and the imageboard way of storing a password with each post seems like too much overhead for something that isn't primarily a message forum. (Not to mention inelegant.)

...I guess you could allow anonymous commenting without logging in. But that would open up a whole host of other problems.

@paxed: That makes sense for voting and the like, but why not permit anonymous/semi-anonymous commenting (with CAPTCHA if comment spam is an issue)?

It would be nice to have a "Log Out" button for use on shared/public computers.

marcmagus: I'll see about anon commenting.
AFAIK, it's not possible to do "log out" with http auth. I'll do another login method... Done.
